This two-hour workshop provides public safety users with practical tips and techniques to maximize the quality, efficiency, and utility of FARO SCENE scan data for investigative and courtroom purposes. Attendees of all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned practitioners—will gain actionable strategies for preparing, managing, and enhancing 3D point cloud datasets.


The session will cover methods to improve data capture quality, streamline registration workflows, and optimize post-processing to create accurate, visually compelling outputs. Emphasis will be placed on producing courtroom-ready deliverables, including dynamic flythroughs, orthographic snapshots, and Scene2Go exports, while maintaining the integrity and evidentiary reliability of the data.


Through a combination of live demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and practical examples drawn from real-world forensic applications, participants will learn how to leverage FARO SCENE’s capabilities to produce polished, professional exhibits efficiently—even under time-sensitive conditions. The workshop will also explore common pitfalls and troubleshooting techniques to help users avoid errors that can compromise data quality or presentation effectiveness.
