Part 2 of 2

As technology continues to redefine forensic reconstruction, the integration of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and terrestrial 3D laser scanning is transforming how investigators document, analyze, and present crime scenes. This interactive workshop, led by Christopher Mondry, FARO Field Applications Engineer—demonstrates best practices for combining aerial and ground-based 3D data to achieve high-accuracy, scientifically defensible reconstructions. This is a two-part workshop (2 hours each).

Part 1 focuses on UAS operations: platform selection, flight planning, environmental considerations, and evidence-based data capture. Attendees will learn strategies to meet forensic accuracy and admissibility standards while producing complete aerial models of complex scenes.
