History of BPA and Crime Scene Reconstruction in Iceland from 2003 to Modern Day

With basic knowledge of BPA, we had our first acknowledged BPA case back in 2004. Confirmed by Icelandic court. Later we had a BPA case in 2007 which really had us guessing, got second opinion from Sweden and were able to finish our work and bring justice to it´s rightful place.

In 2013 we had our first shooting incident reconstruction with the help of KRIPOS regarding the work on scene and report making. In the 210 year history of the Icelandic police, it was our first case of armed police shooting a suspect!

As one of the fifteenth safest countries in the world, times have changed and so have we as a crime scene unit. More education, knowledge and equipment, we think we are ready for whatever life will throw at us. It is also good to know that our Nordic friends will back us up if, "the shit hits the fan," as we say.
