This session introduces ACSR / IAFSM forensic investigators to the fundamentals of geodetic control, explaining its critical role in creating accurate, reproducible, and legally defensible 3D data. The workshop is a beginner’s guide for anyone working with Terrestrial Laser Scan data. Laser Scan operators, technicians, and analysts as well as investigators and prosecutors will explore how simple field scanning techniques can assist in integrating geodetic control and leverage multi-sensor data in investigations.
