Toby Terpstra

Toby Terpstra is a Senior 3D Analyst at J.S. Held. He has testified in state and federal courts on civil and criminal matters, and specializes in photogrammetry, video analysis, and 3D site reconstruction. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), and the Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction (ACSR). He is a certified Forensic Video Technician through the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA) and is recognized as a Master Instructor by SAE for teaching an ACTAR accredited, three-day course titled: “Photogrammetry and Digital Media Analysis”. Mr. Terpstra is also a member of OSAC, the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science, and SWGDE, the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence, where he is involved in creating standards and best practices in video analysis and forensic metrology.
