Dr. Heather Heider is a distinguished forensic science consultant, possessing both a Doctorate of Forensic Science and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Oklahoma State University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Physics from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
With a career spanning over three (3) decades, Dr. Heider’s expertise is rooted in her extensive experience, including crime scene investigation, training, and as the Forensic Services Supervisor for the Santa Ana Police Department from 2003 to 2019, where she managed a high-volume hybrid crime lab encompassing crime scene, forensic firearms, latent print/chemistry, and photo/video units. This extensive background paved the way for her current role as President of Axiom Forensics, a consulting agency specializing in Crime Scene Reconstruction, Shooting Reconstruction, Training, and Forensic Science Policy & Procedure.
