Cody Allen

Texas Ranger

Cody Allen is a Texas law enforcement officer with over 18 years of dedicated service with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He began his career as a Highway Patrol State Trooper in remote West Texas before advancing to Special Agent, where he investigated narcotics, human trafficking, and child sex crimes. In 2019, he was promoted to Texas Ranger in Midland, leading investigations into major crimes against persons, including murders, custodial deaths, officer-involved shootings, and sexual assaults.


Within the Texas Rangers Company “E,” Cody serves as Assistant Team Leader for the Company “E” Crime Scene Team, Company “E” Team Lead for the 3D Scanners, Hostage Negotiator, and UAS Pilot. He has been tasked with the registration of multiple large mass casualty crime scenes, including the Dallas Five, the El Paso Walmart mass shooting, and the Robb Elementary mass shooting. A graduate of Angelo State University and the National Forensics Academy, he holds Crime Scene Investigator Certification from the IAI, is a Certified Scanner Operator with the IAFSM, and serves as a Director with the IAFSM.
