Casson Reynolds

Instructor

Casson Reynolds is an instructor/developer with the North Carolina Justice Academy under the North Carolina Department of Justice. He is tasked with developing and instructing in Advanced Forensic Topics to include shooting incident reconstruction, bloodstain pattern analysis, photography, advanced documentation, ballistic math, property & evidence, and search & seizure. He was sworn in as a Law Enforcement officer from 2003 to 2017, where he spent most of his career in a forensics unit. He started with the NCJA in 2017 and teaches and presents all over the country.


Casson is a Past-President of the North Carolina International Association for Identification, a Past-President of the Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction (ASCR), the Chair of the Science and Practice Subcommittee on Shooting Reconstruction for the International Association for Identification, a voting member of the AAFS Standards Board (ASB) in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and Crime Scene Investigations, and a member of the International Association for Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (IABPA). He has a Master of Science from Boston University in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science from Radford University in Criminal Justice, and he is pursuing his PhD in Forensic Science through Oklahoma State University.
