Mass shootings and other mass-casualty incidents challenge public safety agencies with fast-moving, high-risk environments where every second matters. Effective response depends on accurate pre-incident planning, rapid situational awareness, and seamless coordination between fire, EMS, and law enforcement.
In this presentation, Christopher Mondry, FARO Field Applications Engineer, demonstrates how leading agencies are transforming their preparedness through proactive digital site documentation and 3D data integration. Attendees will see how FARO’s rapid-capture technologies and FARO Zone 3D software are being used to document schools, arenas, and public venues before an incident occurs—creating digital twins that allow responders to plan, visualize, and act with confidence when crisis strikes.
The session highlights real-world applications of FARO Orbis, an advanced mobile scanning solution capable of capturing complex environments in minutes, and demonstrates how these datasets are transformed into actionable pre-plans with hydrants, NFPA 704 placards, ingress/egress points, and staging areas.
